What is the best ammo for a USP40c

The term "best" can be a rather big word to only have 3 letters. However, based on your caliber, I would recommend one of the following loads:

Winchester Ranger 180 gr JHP

Speer Gold Dot 180 gr JHP

Federal Tactical 180 gr JHP (not the Hydra-Shok)

Winchester Ranger 165 gr JHP

Speer Gold Dot 155 gr JHP

Black Hills 180 and 155 gr JHP (which also uses the Gold Dot bullet)

Remington 180 gr Golden Saber

Many of those rounds are marketed to law enforcement and may be hard for civilians to find (they are out there though if you look hard enough). But the Black Hills, Speer and Remington are all readily available to the public. Buy a box of each load you can find and see which is most accurate, test for recoil, check for excessive muzzle flash and also reliability in your weapon. After doing so pick the load that performs best. FWIW, I carry 180 gr Rangers when I can get them. When I can't I feel quite comfortable with Speer or Black Hills 180 gr Gold Dots.
