What's the difference between the 84 Cheetah and the 85 Cheetah? THe website lists no dimensions different but the mag capacity is different for each of them; 13 for the 84 and 8 for the 85.

Any enlightenment?

84 uses a double stack magazine holding 13 rounds. The 85 uses a single stack magazine holding 8 rounds. Its as simple as that.

Mine's called an 84F, the catalog calls it a Cheetah, bought it in 1993 when talk of the AWB were taking place, so I snagged it and a bunch of mags too

I think these may very well be the best gun made in this caliber, regardless of price.

Is the slide and barrel covered in Bruniton, like the 92FS is?

I love my 92FS, but I have never been super happy with their stock finish, and you always get that quick wear on the barrel. W/ an open slide design, you really see it.

I once had a Cougar 9mm Beretta, and the slide was not covered in Bruniton.

How do they make the magazine for the 84 a doublestack without altering the dimensions of the pistol...?

The double stacks have a wider pistol grip than the single stacks
