The Arotek is a knockoff of the original Schuemann Hybrid, the slide is cut away a heavy ported rib is silver/soldered onto the barrel, the ports should progress in diam/size towards the end of the barrel. The ports being on the barrel/rib is more effective than ports that just align with holes in the slide when the gun is in battery, Either way expect lost of reduced velocity, lots of increased noise, I have shot 45 and 10mm Hybrid Comps in Glocks and they feel like squib loads.

The Schuemann style has not been used in years by AroTek because the slides were cracking. The web photo has not been updated in some time(2nd gen gun). IIRC when AroTek lost one of its key employees in a motor cycle crash several years ago they stopped offering the "Ultimate Competition Package"

If you have access to a G18 why not just get the "C" model? The barrel has 4 or 5 ports from the factory. |

I actually do have a Factory 18C coming. It is the newer model that has the cut out slide with 4 vents and the milling work to remove metal out from between the rear side and the ejection port. My goal is to find the optimum method for compensation a Glock without hanging a screw on muzzle comp on the end of the barrel that can be utilized by C2 manufacturers for Glock conversions. Duplicating the factory style maybe best but I want to test it against other designs to see which makes the Full Auto Glock the most controllable. Thanks, Darin Reiss FFL/SOT |
