I know this has probably been done to death on here but everything I found about gen 4 vs gen 3 has been old. Are the gen 4s as reliable as the gen 3s now?

Never realized there was a problem. I have multiple Gen 4's and all have run flawlessly. What problems are you talking about the overblown brass to the face issue?

If you buy a post 2010 Glock 9mm, Gen3 or Gen4, you're rolling dice.

Even if you get an early one the part is trivially easy to detect the old one, get and install the new.

That little crisis was short lived and now over. Mine had the brass bouncing off the forehead issue.

Seems like there was an different recoil spring released too, which are wear parts anyway.

Trivially easy to fix. This has been years ago. Any new gun from glock will be fine.

See, this worries me. Why do you say that?

I didn't read anything about a brass to the face problem, most of what I read was people reporting FTF issues.

I have had no problems with any of my Gen 4s.

My gen4 9mm and 45's have been 100% with strong ejection to the right. My gen 3 .40 on the other hand, had the dreaded Surefire malfunction which was fixed with the dual spring recoil assembly in the gen4.

The BTTF issue was fixed years ago.

5 for me this year alone.....good to freaking go.  9's, .45's, and 380's.  So all across the spectrum.
