Am I the only one left that prefers an arched MSH? (with a long trigger) Seems like all of the companies have gone to selling flat MSH on their pistols and I don't see too many people changing them out for the arched. What gives?

You are not the only one. You are, however, in the minority.

I like 'em flat.

I like em arched, and with a mag guide and a long trigger. Of course, I need that to fill my gorilla fists. A Smith and Alexander MSH and mag guide is the first modification for any new 1911 followed by a set of VZ Grips and a trigger job.

Wow I thought I was the only one. Flat MSH seem to point down to me. It just feels weird. Just ordered 2 for my new Kimbers.

...I tried to be like everybody else...but i just couldn't.

+1 on the Arched housing and the longer trigger.

I have large hands and I need something to suck up the room.

Arched with a Veldiki "long" trigger for me......

..............but then, my hands aren't built to assemble Swiss watches either!

Arched ones have never felt right to me.

i recently changed out the arched plastic MSH on my LDA P14.45 with a flat one from ed brown just to give it a try. I like it however i noticed during a pistol course that i was shooting a bit low. I'm blaming the MSH.. i mean it couldn't be me.

People that use flat ones have girl-hands.

Well, more like piano player hands...

Arched thank you very much. When my hand goes flat, I reckon I will change the main spring housing.

I hate flat beer and flat chested women but I like a flat MSH.

Flat.

+1 for arched & long trigger.

that's one of the great things about a 1911, you can really make it fit your hand, and that's one of the biggest criteria IMO.

The only flat one I have came on my Thompson 10mil,I would say because it has the factory wrap around front rubber finger grips! With this set up it does fit well with this weapon!!!

Other wise I go with original!!!

Flat w/ short trigger.

I have been pondering this myself the last couple of days. I shot my Delta with it's arched msh yesterday and it just didn't feel right. Got home and was fondling my Dan Wesson Pointman 10MM which has the flat msh and it feels much better. So I put the flat one on my Delta and shot it tonite. Big difference. I need to change both my Deltas to flats.

Thats funny, as I have small "girl-hands" and I hate flat MSH too. I like an arched MSH and a short or medium Videki trigger. I like them serrated too, no checkering

What about Ed Brown Wedge?

Link Posted: 9/28/2005 1:38:37 AM EDT
I don't know yet, but I'm going to try an arched out of curiosity.
