SIG P220 X 6; anyone have any first hand input ?

I'm considering one as my next handgun but I'd  like to hear from some people that have actual experience with them.

The P220 Super Match I picked up in March has been phenomenal, but I'm always on the lookout for something different.

Had a very good friend loan me his X5 for a few months. It looks similar but maybe an inch shorter on the barrel.

It was one of the smoothest shooters I've ever held. Fills the hand, solid and heavy, dead accurate, and a crazy smooth action. He had it in 9mm. It was great to shoot and if it wasn't as much as two quality AR's then maybe I'd have one too.

I know I've seen a member post pictures of his, but I can't find the thread he posted it in.  Hopefully he'll show up in this one!

I have a 226 X6 L1 9. It is the most accurate and best shooting pistol i've ever owned. They are made in Germany at the Sig Mastershop. Have adjustable sights, 3 way adjustable trigger. I could go on. They are pretty much the same thing as the 220, except cal. You will love it! I simply cannot believe how well it handles and it's accuracy!

Thanks,
Mark

PS: Had i not spent a lot of money on a custom 1911, I would own the 220 also.

Thanks, you just got me thinking; since I already have a P220 Super Match maybe I should consider the 226 X 6 9mm instead.

What's the meaning of  the Level 1?

I've heard the term but it's never been explained.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I don't know what the L1 means, but there are several X6s out there. The stainless one with the nice wood grips is the l1. There is all around, and a few others that are cheaper. I probably wouldn't go for one of those. Take a look at Sig's website under mastershop. They show all models there.

Thanks,
Mark
