Is anyone currently using the Vickers Tango Down slide release lever on their Glock?  I'm going to replace the stock lever on my Glock 19, and I was thinking of either the Vickers, or the other Glock lever that is on the 34 & 35.

Input appreciated.  Thanks!

The Vickers unit is worlds above the Factory extended catch for guys that grip very high on the frame of the firearm.

I have premature lock back issues with the Factory unit whereas with the Vickers catch, i have yet to unintentionally trip that catch and cause the slide to lock back when i do not want it to.

The vickers catch is also VERY well suited towards reloading in this manner:

I don't have a vickers but I have tried the g34 catch.  You will not like the g34 catch if you conceal carry.  Atleast I didn't.  I took it off immediately after installing it.

It didn't do anything for me.

I have the Glock ext. slide release on all of my Glocks (including my G19 I use for CCW) and it works great for me. No issues with premature slide lock or issues carrying it IWB

How did it cause an issue with concealed carry?

I'm using the glock extended on several of my Glocks, and have not had an issue with either open carry (in uniform) or concealed carry.

I just ordered a Glock extended slide release lever. The first few comments had me worried that I'd regret it, but the last few have given me some reassurance. I should get it sometime this week.

I have the Vickers in my Gen4 19 and really enjoy it. Seems to be a bit easier to use and I like the larger size.

If you can find one, Glock is also making a mag release very similar to the Vickers for the FBI. They are available but hard to find.

It's called the "FBI medium magazine catch."

I've never seen one.

As a left-handed shooter, I prefer the Glock extended part to the Vickers. For a righty, the Vickers unit seems to alleviate issues with thumbs-forward grips causing premature slide locks using the Glock Extended part.

I use one thats made by Arotek. Works really well for me being left handed and using my left index finger to release the slide.

I installed it on my g17 and I did't like that it stuck out as far as it did.  I also didn't like that it stuck out so far when I tried to reholster it in my m-tac.  I guess I am just used to the standard mag release.  I have large hands and yes it is easier with the 34 catch to release the mag, but for ccw I just immediately didn't like it.  Granted I carry a g19 for ccw and not the g17.  The g17 is a fun gun and range toy so I may eventually reinstall it on it but not the g19.

I like it a lot. It definitely gives you a better shelf but it also doesn't stick out to a point that you interfere with it.

Great part.

ETA It doesn't interfere with any of my Raven holsters.
