I was comparing a Springfield XDs and a Glock 36 online but can't find a ton of people that have 36's. How do they compare in size to a Glock 19? Does anyone have both and do you have comparison photos?

Thank you!

I carry a 36 daily and I also have a 19 and a 23.

The 36 fits the same holsters as the 19/23 for the most part but is a bit thinner and shorter in height.  I don't have any pictures handy to show a comparison.

Thanks a lot! That was exactly what I was looking for. It seems like I'll stick with my 19 and possibly pick up an XDs down the line for something smaller.

You might want to consider a Glock 30.  I used to carry a 36, until I bought the 30.  Now the 36 is gone.

I used to carry a 36 but eventually went with a 33, mainly due to the ammo.  Twice the amount of rounds and roughly the same size.  The 36 is a great gun though, mine shoots very well.

I have not carried mine yet as I have just purchased my 36.
What I can tell you is that I am satisfied that I have made the right decision, for my needs. This has come to me after having carried many different types of pistols over the years, primarily 1911's and Sig 225's. Having my gunsmith direct me to Glock and ignoring him for years until now.
I will now need to see first hand a couple of holsters I have in mind in order to own one, and that will be that. Done.
