I hear the cheaper ones arent, where do they start getting into american made guns?

I dislike the safety on the kimber, and if it costs too much to get a warrior, i may have to buy a springfield, and just replace the houseing.

If you like the Kimber except for the Swartz safety, get the Kimber and take the parts out, easy enough.

I think the only US made Springfields are the TRP and the Custom shop guns anymore.

Of note, there's no "still" to it - Springfield's first 1911 models came from Brazil.

From what I understand, all frames and slides come from Brazil.
