My SA 1911 is out having some refinements done. One thing they are doing is stippling the front of the grip and also a flat mainspring housing. Does anyone have pictures of any of their stippled guns? I know this is kind of old school, but I like it. I have seen some Glocks with stippled frames lately (last few years). Pretty interesting.

Thanks

Here's a picture of one I did for a customer about 2 yrs agostippling

Usually the way I do it is to lay out everything with various size center punches then go back over it with assorted chisel points.

Those are so nice, I did indeed make the correct choice to do the stippling. Should have mine back this week then I will post some pics.

Thank you

Here are a couple other guns of mine that're stippled.

Oh yeah, just recalling that thread makes me gag a little bit.

Ken_Mays,
Those are some really fine looking pistols. I had not planned to stipple my beavertails bump pad, but when I saw yours, I knew it was the way to go. I should have it back tomorrow or Friday then I will post some pics.

Thanks again.

I don't show off things like this often, but I'm proud of this one. This was a milspec Springfield that I picked up dirt cheap and reworked as a gift for my father. I only stippled the front strap and not the MSH, as I was trying to get it done before he came to visit.

A work in process:
