Oh yeah, I shot it the day I got it, right after cleaning. Ran some hand loaded wad cutter in it first at 7 yards. First one hit at 8 o'clock about one inch from bull's eye. Second round went the other way at 2 o'clock about the same distance from center. The next three were touching, with 2 in the bull at 7 o'clock and the other just out low. Next up was PMC 158 gr JSP 357 mags. They printed 1 1/2" high at 12 o'clock in a group a little bigger that a silver dollar. Next came Remington Golden Saber 125 gr JHP 357s. They shot about an inch low in the same size group as the PMCs. Kind of odd, lighter bullet shooting lower? Could well have been the shooter!
The sight picture is good, but not great for my old, I need reading glasses eyeballs. The rear is adjustable and the front is tritium. My 24 year old son really likes them, go figure. The wood is of good quality and has a decent wood to metal fit with a matt finish. I really expected a little bit better job here. The seam where the wood touches on the front of the grip has a very small gap and one side is very, very slightly higher. Minor bitch.
The metal is a low gloss, kind of burnished looking stainless. From the S&W website I expected a high polish finish. But, I'm very happy with the treatment. No tool marks or scratches anywhere.
Over all there's an understated level of elegance to the gun I really like. The single action trigger pull measures just over 3 lbs with out take up and barely any overtravel. My scale maxes out at 8 pounds, so I'll guesstimate the double action pull at 11 to 12 lbs. Smooth consistant pull until the break. Very nice trigger. The gun fits my hand well and has good balace for a little stubby.
The 357s shock the hand a bit. Doesn't hurt, isn't real fun either. Wouldn't run a box of 50 in the gun at one setting.
Last line. I love the gun. Thinking about another Crossbreed holster and switching off every other day with my G36 for daily carry.
