Run over the holster and mag pouches a few time with an SUV and maybe it'll look more authentic...

 That's true but I'm not going for the "run-over-with-an-SUV" look to be authentic because an SUV wouldn't be authentic for WWII. Maybe a Ford GP would do. Besides, the mag pouch. belt and holster looked that new that I was given in Vietnam in 1968. I was also given a new WWII era Colt 1911A1.
