If you want to shoot it often and affordably.......reload. Graf & Sons, MidwayUSA are a couple of good supply centers for you.

You can find more info, in the reloading forum, but their single stage presses arent bad. I have a couple sets of their dies and havent had any problems. If you are going to buy a progressive press, everything I have read points in the direction of the Dillon 550B.

Nice choice.  I have always been a fan of Springfield 1911 pistols.  the ones I have had ate just about anything.  I liked to shoot the 230 g bullets.  The lower grans obviously have more velocity but made the pistol a little more snappy IMO.

This question belongs in reloading forum and there are plenty of Lee reloaders that can help you. If on budget look at a Lee Progressive Turret press. Mine's been converted to single stage. I'm loading well over 20,000 rounds a year with it now.

What little factory ammo I use is Blazer and Winchester 100 round value packs. 230 grain.

Thanks.  Need to be sure not to put the "idiot scratch" on it as well as pickup some extra mag's.

Suggestions on mag's?

How about these 8 rounders from AIM for 13.95/each.

Check in this forum, but IIRC, reviews thus far on those have been....not exactly stellar. There seem to be some significant bugs in those mags still. For the moment, I'd say give them a miss in favor of a proven mag like McCormick, Check-Mate, Wilson, Tripp, etc.
