After reading upon the recent thread on RCS alternatives, I would like to try out an NTAC setup for my M&P 40.

I REALLY like the Raven, But I do not want to wait 12 weeks right now. I am sure they are worth every bit of it and I may end up ordering one anyway.

But for now I would like to try out the NTAC setup. I intend to mostly run it IWB with some soft loops. Not sure where I can get the soft loops though. I see RCS carries them for $20 and usually shio within 7-10 days.

Does anyone here run an NTAC? I would like to hear some opinions on them.

I have two, one for my PPS and one for my G19. IWB I prefer them to the supertuck that I had for my XD. I am a skinny guy and I swear the leather on the ST covered half my body and just seemed unnecessary. I have IWB and OWB clips from NTAC, I much prefer the IWB setup since its so easy to put on and take off without fussing around. They ride high with the provided OWB clips and I don't feel its particularly stable even with my wilderness 5 stitch. IWB they rock, the PPS is forgettable and with my new belt even the G19 and a spare mag are easy to carry all day, at least until I sit down a restaurant and get the "butt thud".

Also wanted to add that the best part, to me, is that they add no weight or appreciable thickness to the gun. Consider a kydex IWB holster the ultra thin condom of the concealed holster world.

I like the fact theyre wait time right now is only about 30 days.

However I may just invest in the material to start making my own. One of my buddies I pitched the idea too already said he would buy one from me ha ha
