I'm looking for reputable company that produces a decent synthetic (plastic), open carry holster for a railed 1911? The smoothness that the blackhawk serpa gives to my buddies glock is nice but I couldn't find one of those for a railed 1911. The only thing I have found so far is a Fobus evolution.

I already have a leather holster I use for concealment btw.... so don't need one of them

The serpa for the 1911 should fit a railed model. Just not one with a full rail, or with a light attached.

The Safarilland 6378 paddle is available for railed 1911's, but you might have to order direct from Safariland to get one.  I really like my 6378's.  They are suede lined, so they are not as hard on the finish as other synthetic holsters.

My BlackHawk Serpa fits my Kimber Warrior with no problem and as others have mentioned they make a model where you can have the Xiphos light mounted on it.

Talon Tactical

The owner is long time IDPA champ, IPDA 4(?) gun master, and runs a good business. He pretty much taught me how to shoot handguns properly. He made me a holster for my railed 1911 recently. Just shoot him an email asking for one that fits a rail. They'll even fit the railed S&W 1911, which has a very slightly different rail.
