I have a 3rd gen g19 and was thinking about putting houge handall grips on it cause in the summer it gets kinda sweaty. I was wondering if anyone has put one on their 3rd gen and if its still grippy when it gets sweaty. Also, since the 3rd gen has finger groves and so does the hogue grip, does this dramatically change the shape of the grip? Skate tape is a no go since i wear it @ 5 in a ctac....driving with sandpaper in my back would rub me raw.
Im also thinking about a thigh holster just to have for shoots and running cof's. nothing too fancy, I just figure it would be easier than a ctac. Plus it would make me look very tactical

The hogue hand alls ten to increase the width of the grip due to having finger grooves. I have found the best slip on grip to be a bicycle tube. For $5 at wally-world you can make 10-12 of them. It's much more tackier than a hogue as well but, not nearly as thick.
As far as a cheap drop leg goes. There are lots of " tactical" holsters out there. If you wanty bottom of the barrel check out cheaper than dirt. If you want something decent for under $60 try a fobus. Fobus makes a drop leg attachment that you can bolt any roto-holster to. $25 for the holster and $30 for the drop leg attachment. It's light-weight and very durable. J |
