Ok, here's my situation. I have a P220R, but I was wanting something a little smaller for my carry weapon. So, I decided on getting a P245. I was looking at different shops today, and found a used 220ST for 550.00. I didn't look at it real close but it appeared to be in excellent condition. I would like to have one of these too, but right now I really "need" a 245.
My question is, should I pass up on the 220ST and go ahead and get the 245? Or, is this too good of a deal on the 220 to pass up?

Also, I can't find a 245 at any of the local shops, so I have never held one. My 220R fits my hand like a glove. Will I be happy with the 245?

At 550 I'd buy the 220ST.  But my opinion is biased.

That said, the 245 is probably my next Sig purchase.

I'd go for the 220ST.  Excellent gun - but you already knew that.

I've got a P245.  It's an excellent CCW gun, with a decent sight radius and an abbreviated grip.  The trigger is better than some SIGs I've owned, (maybe due to the nickel plating) and the gun is very accurate and has displayed the legendary SIG reliability.

I can get 4 fingers on the grip but the pinky slips when firing.  I get better results when I curl my pinky under the mag baseplate.

I've always wanted a compact sig 45, but the P245 is just slightly too short in the grip for me.  I mean 1/4 inch more (maybe even less than that) and I would be good to go.  There is an X-grip out now that adapts P220 mags to the P245, which might very well rekindle my interest in the gun.

It is a bit short, but this is one of those "carried more than shot" pistols.   I think the CCW benefits of the short grip outweigh the downside.

I'd go with the 220. Own one, love it.
Haven't shot a 245 though..

You already have one P220, and it's too big to carry comfortably. Why get another one? My vote's for the P245.
