So my roomate has a  1918 DWM luger he is trying to sell. But not sure if its worth $50 or $500. First off its the original finish and its in decent shape. No rust, the markings are all very clear. The numbers on it are all 10. It however does not have the original magazine and the grips need to be replaced. It does fire. Also if there is anyone out there looking to pick one of these up he is trying to sell it. Thanks!

Sorry for cell phone pics

$500 would be an excellent deal.  Although economy has hurt collectable firearm prices, it would still sell for $750+

Shooters are selling for $500.

This even with the ridiculous grips it would cost about 700-800 minimum.  It seems to be in fair shape and I bet you could get more.  Trade it in and you will get spanked.

That gun does not have the original finish. Still all in all as a shooter it is worth $5-750. Stick it on GB and it will sell.

Quickly get those POS stocks off of that pistol!  Great gun, defaced with shite.  Buy some good quality replacements stocks pronto!  It will help the resale price.

Agree with P08, not original finish! I see buffed, slightly rounded edges, $600 IMO.

FWIW, I concurr. Refinishing a Luger just kills its value, probably more than any other gun, IMO.
