I've finally followed ARFCOM doctrine and gotten both! The 1911 has been arounnd for a while, but the G19 just arrived at the FFL today. I've heard that it's possible that a 1911 and a Glock can in fact coexist in the same safe, if left at opposite ends. I've also heard unconfirmed reports of them winding up in the same range bag together. I'll have to experiment with this and post back with results.

Aye, that 1911 is a randy fellow and the Glock is a dirty tramp!

Don't leave em alone for too long.

Separate them right now, before the glock goes Kaboom!

Or you're likely to end up with a bouncing baby USP45

It's great to have examples of technology from both ends of the 20th century.

Wouldn't a USP40 be a better "in the middle" gun?

Careful with that 9mm. According to some folks around here you might as well throw grapes at a perp.

Only if they're hardball grapes.
If they're good hollowpoint grapes, I'd be happy.

Better make 'em use birth control or you'll wind up with a Spectre.

My wife has a 9mm, she LOVES it because it is easy on her skinny wrist.

use and abuse the glock

just use the 1911

This is a very dangerous path which you have embarked upon. The Glock will soon become your favorite in the safe leading to feelings of neglect and uselessness on the part of the 1911. If left in this sad state, the 1911 will begin to suffer obvious signs of said neglect like rust, pitting, gritty action, failure to feed when shot. The Glock however, is the more robust of the two, able to endure periods of neglect and abuse and still will gleefully gobble up rounds like no tomorrow when you return. When subjecting a 1911 to such a regime, it will resist your efforts by ceasing to function and will attempt to escape your safe disguised as rust.

Glock and 1911, match made in heaven

Seriously, if you don't keep them seperated at all times, you wll open your safe one day to find a bastard .40 cal. Nobody wants that.
