I have put back another colt pistol(series 70 Government) this gun is pristeen except the grips!
Somebody has sanded all the grooves off the grips,the colt logo is there. Where can I get a set of original colt grips(my schedule doesn't include gun shows) anybody here got a set they would part with? Or at least point me in the right direction. Edit to say yes I saw the 1911 grips thread above,I would like OEM ! And will pay for such! Bob

I confronted the guy selling this pistol about the smoot grips,it appears colt did make a smooth grip! It has line wood sereations and the colt medalions!!
