Its a custom built .38 Super on an STI frame with a C-More dot sight. Similar to the ones STI sells as complete guns:  When chambered in .38 Super, 9x23 or 9mm, STI frames can take 18,22 or 28 round magazines. |

Is it possible to compete at the "fun" level with a single stack .45? It looks like you'ld need half a dozen reloads to complete some of the stages with a single stack.

yeah in florida over in orlando they have SIngleStack COMpetitions. it has sum reloads though..but really cool.

Single stacks are competitive. In USPSA/IPSC it has it's own division called limited 10.
To be honest, don't worry about where you place, or your equipment. Just go out and shoot. Look for a local match. They usually run about $25 and you'll need about 200 rounds. Though they call it a "match", it's usually more like a fun shoot. Yes they do rank the shooters, but score and time doesn't matter whn your starting out. Being safe and having fun is all you need to worry about. |
