Know where I can pick up some of the Pro-Mag 13 rounders from?

Also, will the only thing I need to shoot .357 Sig out of this also is a .357Sig barrel? Any mag mods to do?

TIA!

No, the mags are the same.  The barrel is the only thing that needs to be swapped.

M4, check the "industry" board here, maybe one of the advertisers have your mags for the G23.
Nice and easy swap, brisk recoil, bright flash and loud bark of the .357 make it all the more fun!

Going out to buy a new Glock 23 tomorrow....
I may be right behind ya....
Truthfully, I don't really like a "tupperware" gun, but after shooting a friends' 22, the 23 is fast approaching "must have" status.

Well, went and bought the G23 today. From all the KB stories going around I hope it doesn't kill me.

I got it for $569 plus taxes. I know it isn't the best price but in a few days nobody will be able to buy handguns in MD so I wouldn't care if the think cost me $800! I had to get one before the 1st of Jan! Fuck You Maryland State Police!

Now its time to buy some Hi cap mags!

I bought a G23 after hearing a horror story about Sigmas.  I still shoot my Sigma, so the Glock is my 'floater.'

I like the gun.  Compact, accurate.  I have a recurring 'failure to stay open' after last round issue with mine.  Might be just a weak mag.

Best thing about the G23 is the G19, Sigm SW9v, SW40C all use the same holster and have the same 'controls.' so anyone of the four goes BANG with the same number of 'muscle memory' steps.

Pick it up.  aim it.  Pull the trigger.

You'll like the G23.

Any particular reason why you are buying a 13 round magazine instead of 5 spare 10 rounders?

I just bought 5, used, 10 round G23 magazines for 60.00 shipped from Ammoman.

I can carry around FIFTY extra rounds for the price of your 3...

Kiesler's has pre-ban G23 mags for $59. Just watch them on the shipping- its quite expensive.

Know of the web addy for them?

I dont mind using the stock 10 rounders. but I think I am going to pick up hi caps here and there. In a fire-fight those extra 3 rounds could save your life.

Great choice M4_Aiming_at_U!  You're going to love your new Glock 23.  I actually have a Glock 32 (357 SIG) that I carry, although I have a factory Glock 23 barrel I use sometimes at the range (just for variety).  The 357 SIG to .40 S&W change is merely a barrel swap.  99% of the time, the mags are interchangeable.

As for the post-ban versus pre-ban magazine thing, I understand the cost rationale for buying 10 rounders, but the gun was made to carry 13 (or 15 with +2 floorplates) rounds so for me they're better to have.  It's better to have 13/15 rounds and only need 10 than have 10 and need 13/15.  Just my opinion.  Don't bother with Pro-Mags though, stick with factory Glock parts.  If it's between a Pro-Mag pre-ban or a factory 10 round, then stick with the 10 round factory mag.  Aftermarket Glock stuff is junk, just like aftermarket AR-15 parts/mags.

Enjoy!

After market mags are about the only way to get a Glock to jam.

If you are buying high caps for a 23, I suggest buying one 13 rounder and the rest G22 15 rounders.  They fit in the G23 but stick out a little.  Carry with the flush fit 13 rounder, carry the 15 rounders as reloads.  When you need to reload, you won't mind the little bit of hang at the bottom, but you may appreciate being able to go bang a few more times.

If you do buy pre-bans (cause the follwing is all illegal with post bans) don't mess with +2 extenders.  The Scherer ones pop off and dump ammo.  The GLOCK ones are hard to get.  Both require longer springs to work well.  The +4 or +5 140 mm extenders from several vendors, Taylor Freelance, Arredonda, Glockmeister, etc, work very well, however.
