I have a stainless steel FNP-9 on the way right now--cannot wait to get it.

I can see myself in a FDE version at some point. It lookes great. I think the all black just doesn't cut it (I'll stick with my GLOCKs for all black). That is sharp though with the two tone.

Not I. The only problem I've had so far is with a mag, and FN is supposed to replace it.

I don't think your going to see any problems with the fire control housing in the .45s.

In order to avoid the POSSIBILITY of getting a problem gun in 9mm or .40, you'll need to find one of the early ones, or one that just got produced. I believe there is a problem serial number range, which you can find on FNFORUM.NET.

I heard on a book about SAS that the Five seveN is the carry gun of SAS troops in N.Ireland.

I suppose you only hear about the reloaded ones.
Yet another reason NOT to take the chance of reloading. You sure don't save any money blowing up a $1000 gun. At least it his hand is intact.

I am really considering purchasing one of these for off duty carry....   Next month a nifty bullet proof hoodie type sweatshirt comes on the market for $900 that will stop a 9mm round....  Thank god the thugs will be able to wear those now

the bad news is, whenever i go to mandate, unless I can convince the Sheriff otherwise, The 5.7 is to small of a caliber to be approved as a back-up weapon

Sorry for the poor quality photo- it's the only one I have of this gun at the moment.

One you don't see every day (and probably for good reasons)- it was 100% reliable when my friend owned it and it has been for me too (I swapped him an AK kit for it- I think he got the better deal); between the two of us we've put an assortment of 9mm through it including some very dirty unknown make surplus.

Too bad magazines for it are scarce as hens teeth and very expensive.

Is that the FN 49??

FN Forty-Nine.  The FN-49 was the rifle.  But yeah, that's what it is.  Very accurate, feels good in the hand and never had any malfunctions, but the trigger pull is absolutely terrible.

That's a really nice holster. What'd it cost you? Hows it fit/feel? Is it dedicated for the FNP-9, or another pistol?

Thanks! I like that in two-tone.

It is hand-made for the FNP-9 and was around $100. Fits real snug up against the body in the kidney area without digging in, great for sitting. Does not "print", even under a tee shirt worn outside.Very comfortable, even brand-new. It has a very secure hold, while still having a very clean draw and a positive re-holstering. I like it!
