So..while at the range today, I accidentally figured out that my USP45 Tactical will fit and lock perfectly in my Blackhawk SERPA holster for a P30! Even with the hi-profile suppressor front sight, it still fits perfectly. Just thought I would pass on this exciting (to me) knowledge to the hive, as I haven't seen it mentioned before. At least it'll save you some money over buying an expensive holster or a cheap crappy one, when you can get a good locking holster for $30.

That's great.  Same OWB Serpa will fit the 45C too.  If not, you can use a hairdryer set on high heat to make it fit.

Will it fit with a can attached?

I just tried my USP Tactical in a Serpa P30/45C holster (actually two Serpas, one's a backup), and the tactical did not fit either.  The can will not fit, unless its really slim and is rectangular in shape, but I doubt it.

That's really weird..it fit perfectly in mine.

Maybe I got a defective holster?

I would be careful carrying it cocked and locked that way.  You will notice that the trigger is visible and could therefore could be accidentally hit.  Wouldn't be an issue in Double Action though.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I found another Serpa in drawer tucked away.  There are two kinds of P30 Serpa holsters.  A "Rev-A", which will not fit the Tactical.  A "Rev-B" which will fit the tactical.  Quickest way to tell is to detach the paddle, belt loops and look at the back of the Serpa.  "Rev-B" will be molded on the left of the lowest screw attachment below the mold date.  "Rev-A" is molded between the two top screw attachments.  The date mold is above the Serpa P30 stamp.
Rev-A (left), Rev-B (right)

Some revision differences.....
Rev-A (left), Rev-B (right)

Not to confuse things further, but the paddles also have their own revisions, so don't just look at the carry attachment system.  Look at the actual holster.

But Blanco is correct.  P30 Rev-B will fit Tactical and also any size USP series.

Sight channel clears with Meps.

Actually, Rev-A might fit, but you would have to use a heat gun to warm up the sides of the Serpa.  I'm not going to try, because it fits both my 45C and P30S fine now.  Tinkering might make it not!

Don't think a can will fit.

Hey, I'm not crazy! Mine is definitely a "Rev-B" Serpa. I'm very happy about this. Now I can get rid of my regular USP holster that I can't even use and keep the P30 Rev B holster for my Tactical and whether I buy a P30S or USP9C.
