eotech vs aimpoint...

for my first PAID membership post (thanks stag556!), i need to consult the hive about a timeless debate.  yes like beans in chili, 9mm vs .40, and on exct.
so, i have both a eotech 553 (3 volt, nvg compat) and a aimpoint compM2 (little tiny ass battery).  what should i mount on my LMT upper?  (matech buis, GGG free float, standard A frame sight)

eotech LIKES:

-love the reticle.
-3 volt batteries compatable with my mounted surefire"

eotech DISLIKES

-batt life ain't as good as M68
-the "buttonsz"  not as quick to deploy, at least for me
-ARD flashkill nonexistent

aimpoint LIKES:
-batt life lasts helluva long time
-rapid reticle activation
-ARD flashkill already with it

aimpoint DISLIKES
-batteries not compatible with mounted surefire flashlight
-my aimpoint is "quite" used.  ie:  pretty damn worn
-it's mount is a milspec torque knob type thing.  hate it (sticks out like a sore thumb), but do not like to spend $$$ for a larue

so hive, what should mount on my zombie/russian/obama loyalist LMT???  i cant decide....

btw, stag... pleasure locking down fox2 with an iron during delta... good times

NEW TO THIS DAMN POLL THING, HOW DO I START ONE, GD?

Comp M4 has 80,000 hours on a single battery. I don't have nearly enough ammo to hold out that long.

This is a true case of "Get Both".

They are both great optics and good for different applications.

Having used both, I bought an Eotech, I like the bigger sight window.

Well, if he wants an unmagnified sight the RX30 is what he wants.  I'd take my RX30 over any electronic RDS any day of the week.

Buy a used LT mount for your M2 on the EE and move on in life.

Aimpoint.

I thought the Eotech was pretty cool until the novelty faded.

Red dot all the way.

In my opinion, reticle matters most.

I have a 553 and really like it.  Both are great sights, but for me it was the reticle.  I really enjoy the 65moa circle and 1 moa dot.  For me it is much easier to range find using the circle-dot, rather than just the dot of the Aimpoint.

You cant go wrong either way, as I said above: they are both really good.

The correct answer is the Aimpoint T-1 (or H-1).
