Since I don't bow hunt and Sadly I am without a good Muzzleloader at the moment,I've Been waiting ALL year for this Saturday morning to get here(and STILL got to wait)So.....I would proudly like to show off my "Thunder"
1990 Winchester Model 70XTR Sporter Magnum in 7mm Remington Magnum with a 3x9x40 Leupold and a FAL flash suppressor w/Bayonet lug I installed

the bullets are Winchester Supreeme 150grn Ballistic Silvertips
the recoil on this rifle has given this rifle many diffrent names by it's 2 owners(I know both of them)prior to me recieving it as a Christmas present from my Dad in 1996.
"Maggie",and"Black Nasty"are a couple that I remember at the moment.whatever the name, the recoil is FOUL.you better get it sighted in within 5rnds or you may as well put it down cause your shoulder will want NO MORE.I'm 5'11" 195lbs(I'm losing weight!!!YAAAA)and it's all I want in recoil.I've shot 8mm,.300 Win mag,.338 Win mag,45/70 and 3"mag 12ga slugs that were not as bad as THIS rifle.I also have a Remington Model 700 that is named "Punisher"in .30-06 that kicks HARDER than the rifle that is shown.

What rifle will YOU deer hunt with this year?
poll added.

MAC-DADDY,

Yeah, I know .223 is not ok in all states. Here it's legal for deer, bear, cougar. Has to be .24 or larger for elk.

p.s. Hope you have a great hunt.

I used to use my 742 Woodsmaster Remington in .30-06. I don't have anywhere to hunt anymore. High priced clubs have taken over this part of Tennessee. Good luck to you!
