new to rifle shooting, and the indoor ranges I know of don't allow .223.. ;-)

so, where do people shoot longer distances in the PDX area?

Great facilities.

If you're not willing to pay the bucks to join a club, I've heard that there is a good place (old quarry?) to go shooting out in the Tillamook Forest about halfway to the coast.  I think your stuck to a 45 minute or more drive any way you go.
