I just recently discovered Louisiana Hot Sauce.. Whoooo doggie, that stuff is GOOD!
Not too hot, not too weak.

You can put it on just about anything! I've recently used it for grilling pork chops and drumsticks, and am gonna try it on some ribs and rib tips next.

What i like about it most is the ingredients: peppers, vinegar & salt. No bullshit

What about you? Any favorite hot sauce worth mentioning?

I am not one of the "pour lava in my mouth look how cool I am" types. I enjoy a good hot sauce but flavor is more important than trying to be cool. My favorite is made by a local Peruvian place. It has the consistency of mustard and had a pretty good hint of Habanero.

If you smelled it your eyes would instantly water and you would think its going to kill you but its really only a 6.5 or 7 on a scale of 1-10.

The flavor is so incredible.

For an all around hot sauce. I am still partial to Tobasco. Louisiana and Crystal isnt bad but its too vinigary and thinned out for my tastes. It will do if its handy though. Good on tuna melts.

Dave's Insanity "Hurtin' Habanero".Contrary to the name,it's no hotter than plain old Tabasco or Franks but the flavor is freakin' amazing.Just the right level of heat with a great smoke flavor.

I like all jalapeno and habanero based, Tabasco sucks! I make my own in the summer, puree my hots and freeze in cubes for the winter or if I need something just go to the Messkin store.

You know what i'm noticing..all the guys that like franks seem to be from the north east..wonder if that has anything to do with it. I love Franks original, and I love Frank's Buffalo and Hot Buffalo on wings even more..Its got the heat turned up a little.

I eat jalapeno or chile peppers with just about every meal.

I find Tabasco too hot, and Frank's or Crystal too vinegary.

Louisianna is just right for hot sauce.

And in-before-the-sadists who believe that the hotter a hot sauce is, the better it is.

Yep.

Crystal is my favorite.

With the heat, you also get flavor. Some other hot sauces are so hot that if you put enough on your food to actually taste the flavor of the sauce, it's too hot to eat.

I suppose it's immense popularity with zero marketing and no fancy labels is all hearsay.

I remember his post. It is that which convinced me I needed some.

I took a bottle to work. A coworker thought he could handle it.

I warned him again. so he put a speck on his finger and licked it.

A speck. Barely visible.

His eyes started to water. His nose started to run.

He said with all seriousness "there is no reason for something like that to exist".

When asked what it tasted like, he said "hot".

It had no pepper taste. Just extreme hot.

It took an hour before he wasn't too pissed to talk.

This is the winner.

But I have to say, you want a real treat with your fried chicken? Mix 2 parts cock sauce with one part honey and drizzle over chicken. After you do this all you have left to do is send me a bottle of whiskey in thanks.
