Winchester M1887 or M1901. The first was built in 10 or 12ga the second just for 10ga-because the 1897 pump couldn't handle the pounding of the 10ga load. The M1901 was still basicly the same design as the M1887 but with metalurgy improvments to handle smokeless powder.

Credited to John M. Browning, but unlike his M1886 rifle not a totally original design. It is a very LARGE scale up of Christian Sharps carbine action of twenty-five years earlier, with the magazine tube moved from the butt to under the barrel to accept the large cartridges. Quite a good job of re-engineering though, and nothing JMB had to be embarrased about. For a decade it was the only mass produced repeating shotgun in the whole world.

Wasn`t Tristar supposed to re-release them? Kinda like Norinco with the 1897.

actually, Norinco came out with a lever action shotgun like Arnold used and I put my name on a list at a gun show to buy one, and then the damn government banned all Norinco products from importation, and now I have to wait 2-3 years for the ban to end.....I think they were around $400......

The swing-around capability (large round lever) was a custom modification, IIRC...
