in the army, it is the rank of " Specialist". not quite an NCO, and not quite a private.

SPC= Specialist. E-4 pay grade without making the person a Corporal which is a NCO rank/title. Is sometimes referred to as Full Bird Private based on the rank insignia.

I'm about 1/2 through it.
Very interesting. I'd say it's worth watching it. They show ALOT of things the media would never show in the mainstream news. I don't like the rap that much but it is some peoples personality so I have no problem with it. |

Also known as the Sham-Shield . . . all shiite rolls down hill, but until you have more than one chevron . . . none of it sticks. Again . . . they can be known as the Spec-4 mafia. Always hanging around, no visible means of support. They have no responsibility so they cannot be convicted. And to think I left that for OCS . . .

Those that enter the US Army with 60 or more college credit hours , enter with the rank of E-4(SPC). Same pay as jr NCO but with half of the responsibility

I thought there were other ranks of specialist, such as E-3 through E-1. Where do they fit in?

They used to have spc 5's, etc. Those were eliminated years ago. |

That raised a question. What's the difference between an Air Farce Master Sgt, and an Air Farce Master Sgt with diamond?

1st shirt. an air force e-8 is either a msgt (no diamond) or a 1stsgt (w/diamond). the diff between those is the same as the diff between a spc and a cpl; the latter has more responsibility or troop leading duties than the former. |
