have a 24in Weatherby Vanguard that's 1:12 twist

so far I've tried 55gr FMJs, 50gr Varmint tipped, and 45gr hollow points

it likes the 50gr varmints the best so far, using those I'm under an inch at 100yds

What else would be some good options? My plan for this rifle is to use it for coyotes and prairie dogs out to 300yds

Friend has one of those rifles. 40 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips are very accurate out of it on top of VihtaVoury N133 powder.

40 gr V-Max loads should give close to 3,800 fps out of that barrel.

The Fiocchi .223 load with that bullet is one that my 16" Stag 1/9 shoots very well.

Only 1-12" rifle I've had was a Ruger 77 target, I had good results with Winchester 45gr factory ammo or 53gr Matchkings hand loaded with WW748 or H335.

3800fps out of a 223 sounds interesting

My Remington likes the 50gr Winchester JHPs best. The Fiochi ballistic tip varmint rounds shoot almost as well as do the Sako Speedhead 50 gr. FMJ.

This.  Shoots .6 moa with hornady brass and TAC off a bench out of my 700.  And only when I can do my part, which is about 4 out of 5 rounds.

My 24" RRA upper loved the 52 grain SM as well as 50 grain vmax bullets. They both grouped equally well, although the vmax bullets grouped consistently an inch lower and 1/2" left of the 52's group with the same scope setting.
