This team isn't better than the 1969 Ohio Buckeyes. A team so great, at the time that it was thought the ONLY football team in the country that could beat them were the Minnesota Vikings.

But a team from Ann Arbor BEAT that "unbeatable" team, that year.

So while Florida is HEAVILY favored, they are NOT unbeatable.

As a grad, there can be just one:

GO GATORS
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 10:59:21 AM EST
UF will win and I have six black Magpul PMAGS to back it up.

Any Vols fan want to put six mags on the line to say otherwise?

GO GATORS!!

I absolutely agree.

But it damn sure won't be Tennessee that beats them. Urban's gonna stick it in Lane's ass and then break it off.

Florida by 30.

As a SEC westerner, really just hope it's a good game but Florida's gonna be doin' (ala Ric Flair), "Now we're go'in to school!"

We know the outcome..we just don't know how bad we'll beat them!

Gators...is there really any doubt?

i say not.... vols will be in it late in the 3rd qt and fall apart in the 4th

I hope the Gators hang 60 on 'em just for all the crap they've been talking.
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 11:30:56 AM EST
I hope it a rout and they leave Tebow in to get more Heisman votes but in that process tears his ACL

go vols!

But they got no chance at keeping it close, I fear... :(

rebuilding year, look out for us in about 2 years!
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 11:37:10 AM EST
As a Tennessee alum and fan, I can guarantee you that Florida will stomp a mudhole in us and walk it dry. Gators by 40+. I just hope the Florida band doesn't play Rocky Top as the game ends.

If Urban Meyer is such a genius, how come he lost in 2008 to Lloyd Carr?

GO BLUE!
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 11:51:12 AM EST
Gators. Won't even be close.

Urban Meyer, despite his nice-guy image, loves delivering beat-downs to people who piss him off.
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 11:57:48 AM EST
D. All the above

even a blind chicken can find the corn.
every dog has their day.
sometimes its better to be lucky then good.
life is stranger then fiction
musta been something in the water.
urban cryer has soooo much luck that if it was raining pussy he would get hit in the mouth by a dick.
etc etc

Aint no blind chicken about it. Florida has NEVER beaten Michigan, not even with their saviors, Tim Tebow and Pervy Harvin.

I think The Vols will receive an ass whipping of truly epic proportions. This may be the first time in recent memory that a college football team scores over 100 points in a single game.

Dear God, please let the Gators score 60 points then go for two, and then do an onside kick with 20 seconds left to go in the game and then...when the game is over the Gator Band will strike up an out of tune, horribly played version of Rocky Top

GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 12:13:15 PM EST
I think the Gators will win. But what I want is for Urban Meyer to come out in the presser afterward and say "You know, I think Troy State was a tougher game," just to tweak that punk Lane Kiffin's nose.
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 12:16:08 PM EST
im not a gator fan but i dont see tenn. being able to handle them defensively THIS year.... next year may be a different story. only thing they can do to tebow is.., well......... sweep the leg

Didn't Kiffin say something about if you are going to Florida, you will be lucky to not be flipping burgers? Can't remember, but something to that effect.

As a resident of the greater Swamp area...

I will be as far away from downtown as I can get.

Game day here SUCKS.

Back in the '80s before they expanded the roads and freeway getting out of Provo after a BYU game would take on the order of 2 hours.

Raised in Tennessee, Volunteer Fan GOOD OL ROCKY TOP!

But the gators brought the lube, it is going to be ugly.
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 12:26:38 PM EST
I'd rather see Tennessee win, but we all know that's not going to happen. Chili definitely has beans. They should just show Kiffin's wife doing jumping jacks the whole time.

Nope.

The 1916 Cumberland vs. Georgia Tech football game was a college football game played on October 7, 1916, between the Georgia Tech Engineers and the Cumberland College Bulldogs. The game became the most lopsided game in the history of college football, as Georgia Tech was victorious 222–0.

Florida will stomp them, TN is still trying to rebuild. Eric Berry is a beast though, some think he's the best defensive back coming out of college since Ed Reed.
Link Posted: 9/18/2009 12:30:34 PM EST
I'm going to go with Gators by at least 14.

The Vols offense looked lame vs. UCLA.
