Thought I would post a thread and see if anyone has a personal suggestion for a resin to be used in creating a mold for making a bushing out of for a barrel vice. Brownnell's has this "BARREL VISE BUSHING MOLDING KIT". These are the contents:
Steel Bed - 1½ fl. oz. (44ml) resin, 1½ fl. oz. hardener, 7/8 fl. oz. (26ml) release agent, measuring spoon, mixing dish, (2) mixing sticks, brown and black dye paks, and (2) release agent applicators.
The complete Barrel Bushing Molding Kit is a hundred dollar bill. The molding block alone is $75.00 with the Steel Bed kit.
I don't need the whole kit or the molding block, just the resin. So I guess what I am asking after going around the block to get next door is what would be a good resin to use to make up a bushing to use with the barrel vise setup?
Thanks for any suggestions,...
