dont like them on women

if she's crazy enough to have all that dirty inking done to her body, just think what else she's had in her body (why do you need a gun?)

drug use (some crazed gun nut)

multiple sex partners (one gun a month is too many)

std's

hepititus

etc, etc (if it could save one life wouldn't it be worth it?)

getting tattoos just seems so unclean?
what sort of person allows their kid to even be around a gun

after reading numerous post regarding how a lot of the members feel regarding tattoos (2 t's for the ones who really hate them) it's time for me to express MY OPINION
the above quote  reflects the uneducated ignorant mindset of many folks i have come across who feel the same way regarding guns and the people who own them
1) they are only used for killing
2) hunting is so inhumane
3) the constitution is a living document and the 2nd has no place in todays society
4) allowing CCW will make the streets run with innocents blood
Im sure you get my drift

for your info
a tattoo when done in a professional setting is safer then seeing your doctor or being in a hospital (something we have stressed to anti's as to how many people die each year vs. gun deaths)

a professional tattooist/artist is required to maintain certain levels of education during their employment   http://www.safe-tattoos.com/
this course is nationally recognized by all state health depts as well as OSHA and meets federal guidlines.  i have over 50 hrs of blood bourne pathogen/ cross contanimation classes and can hold an intelligent conversation with many health professionals, regarding disease, and how they are transmitted.  (retired)

tramp stamps is a meaningless term. a lot of woman have tattoos and while the lower back is a more popular place. like owning an ak or ar is a personal choice.

yes some get tattoos to "fit in" or in a breif moment of stupidity.
i'm sure none of us know anyone who purchased a gun on a whim that we all know was a POS.

morality wise
who the fu&*k cares what someone else does ?
we ask others on this board to "hit this poll" as it's anti-gun or to educate some other web site to point out their ignorance.

i know over 100 gun owners who have a minimum of 1/2 doz tattoos. a good portion of them are church going family people. no sluts, whores or assholes.
actual hard working human beings just like , most of the members of this board.

in my time i have seen some really crappy (to be nice) tattoos.
yet they mean something the the owner of it.
one client had a blurry design of bamboo on his arm. he wanted it fixed up. a co-worker told him she wouldn't touch it as she was a professional artist (sound familiar?)
the owner overheard this and intervened.
turns out this "tattoo" was done on 4-5 other guys as well. WHILE they were POW'S in NAM  so i guess he's just another mindless idiot who went with the crowd to "FIT IN"

a male on this board asked and was concerned about his daughters tattoo of a gun.
obviously she looks up to and admires her dad
and what were some of the replies?
I'D HIT IT
ITS A TRAMP STAMP ETC
nice show of support and understanding from his fellow gun owners

whats that saying ?
if you can't say something nice about someone don't!

reading the many post about tattoo's is like seeing another post asking about wolf ammo, hesse firearms. the monkeys at century etc.
it's been beaten to death.
yet when posted the replies are the same day in day out
don't like tattoos great. but giving an uneducated opinion about them is like
ONCE again  spouting anti-gun  rhetoric.

RANT OFF
FLAME AWAY

have a good day i'm going riding (another activity some here think is dangerous)
go figure..........................

I've never been a fan of ANY tattoo, let alone the "tramp stamp."

Doesn't mean I want to ban them.

What you describe as "stupidity and ignorance" sounds like nothing more than people having an opinion you disagree with.  Deal with it.

He asked for opinions, and he got opinions.

I don't like tattoos on women. The general tone of the replies he got is that tats on women give many the impression that these women make poor choices in general.

It may be true or not, but that is the perception of many.

My son was a little pissed last week that his wife went out and got a tattoo. He didn't want her to, but since he has half a dozen on him, he didn't have much room to bitch. I think it was a waste of money and a poor decision she will regret later. So does he. I also think it shows a lack of maturity on her part. "Poor decision making skills" is what it says to me.

I feel the same way about my son's tattoos.

In case you haven't seen this in print before, here is a life-lesson for you. Tattoos on the neck, face, and forearms limit where you go in life career-wise. It is a fact, and there is a reason.

Now I think I've seen everything.

Equating someones dislike (or even disgust) of tattoos with the actions and mindset of those that wish to ban firearms.

I say again:

I have NEVER, EVER seen a SINGLE PERSON on this site even remotely suggest that ANYONE be prevented from getting a tattoo.  We ALL realize it as a personal choice.

However, when you chose to do something that can be usually be seen BY THE ENTIRE FUCKING PLANET you can expect to elicit some responses (both good and bad).

I can't imagine a single person on this site going up to someone with a tattoo and giving them shit about it, unlike those that will give you a fucking moralizing lecture on your choice to own firearms.

I can hold a negative opinion about a person or their choices in life, doesn't mean that I'll go out of my way to make their lives miserable.  At best I'll simply avoid them.  At worst I'll vent about it (as we do here).

Again, a huge WHAT THE FUCK? to your connection between those that dislike tattoos and those that would deprive citizens of their enumerated Constitutional RIGHT to keep and bear arms.

I have to agree with "AR-10" you asked for an opinion and it did not come out the way you wanted it to, too bad. I don't have any tattoos, but don't have a problem with it, unless my wife or girls (when they get older) wants one. There is a girl who works for us that is unhappy that earlier in life she got a rather large one on her back. If she could afford it she would have it removed. This will probably piss you off, but I don't think a 18-19 year old should be allowed to get one! Maybe when they are more mature and can reason it out better, say mid 20's?

Its funny how you will see two completely opposite opinons on the same thing and those of us who are "normal" laugh.

I am not flaming or slamming anyone, but anytime you take a "100% not at all" stance to something it shows a weakness.

1)  weakside for tattoos = the guy/girl with every part of their body covered in tats. for the tat artist who makes their living doing it I can see, but for the guy behind the counter at the local am/pm..you got issues.

2)  normal on tats = can see having a couple tats, if that is your thing.  doesnt care either way,  the "tramp Stamp" is trendy, do you really want to live with a "trend" the rest of your life?  If you are getting a tat cuz all your friends have tats thats stupid.

3)  weakside against tattoos = any tatoo, on anyone, shows they are a tramp, loser, drug addict, criminal, low class, trailor trash..... This kind of person has issues too.

If you truely think because a person has a tatto they shouldnt own a gun...you have issues.

What I think is, anyone who thinks people with tattoos shouldnt own a gun shouldnt be allowed to own a gun themselves....If you have that big of an issue with tattoos, that shows you are mentaly unbalenced and I dont want you owning a gun.  The guy with 35 face rings, tats all over is alittle off in the head too, so no guns for him either.
