Your going to die man, quick will all your firearms to me.

Edit, stop watching anime porn. Then you won't have to worry about nose bleeds(those that know anime will understand that reference).

Cut a hole in one of your buttocks to equalize the pressure.

Pinch your nose shut and lean forward.  If your nasal cavity fills up, empty it and repeat the pinch.

If it doesn't stop bleeding in 10 minutes, call for help.

(I am not a doctor, but I play one on the Internet.)

I have had my nose broken something like 13 times and I just had a random nosebleed last night.  I can assert that the advice on ehow.com is effective and accurate.

cram a tampon in each nostril?

A pre-med student once told me a blood vessel or two run past the upper lip.

A previous reply suggested using a match, but cramming a wad of paper towel
in your upper lip as snug as you can will pinch off that flow of blood.

Further, relax.

Getting all stressed out will raise your blood pressure and make matters worse.

Lean over a trash can, and let it drip.  Pinching off your nose simply to prevent
the blood from dripping is dumb.  The "pinch your nose" idea was supposed to
actually pinch your nose hard enough to apply enough pressure to stop the bleeding.
Most people just pinch the nostrils closed and the blood pools up.  Dumb.

The pinching thing works IF you are bleeding because of a cut or scratch inside the nose, because it puts direct pressure on the actual site of the bleeding.  However, you're correct in that it does not work if you are bleeding for reasons other than a cut/scratch.

Things like caffeine and aspirin will increase the severity of nosebleeds, and I can attest that increases in blood pressure will worsen things as well.

I don't know about the thing with arteries and stuff in the upper lip, but I suppose it makes sense.  If it works and doesn't cause harm or carry a risk of harm, give it a try
