i have read that putting a bit of water in a sound supressor before firing will make it quieter than when dry. why on earth would this be? heat absorbtion from the water flashing into steam maybe? vibration damping? somebody give me an explation. this has me intrigued -Spaceman

Some one ask me the same question after they saw that HK promo video. Someone pure water down one end roll it around and mount it on the pistol. I guess some are design to use with water, and some are design to use with motor oil.
