my roommate not home which is a little odd. Don't really care except the fact the a/c sys has been off for the past 24hrs therefore its a frigid 38* in my house. great just great. that is all

D5

ps: Just yesterday I was reading the manual for my new sony bravia 60" Lcd and it stated "do not to use in conditions lower than 44*" i just laughed and kept on reading. seriously i had no clue my room would ever see the likes of 38deg F. so now im sitting here with no tv for the time being, on the net, hoping my macbook doesnt decide the operating temp is too low for it also.

Exactly. If you title your thread "I come home to find......" a certain degree of epicness is expected.

Not a discussion of weather.

By the way it's 14 degrees here. In Texas!! Can you believe this weather?

It's highly unlikely that your TV will be damaged by operating it in those temps - seriously, have you felt how much heat they put off?

If anything, the refresh rate will be low and you'll have a bit of an afterimage until it warms up.

It's warmed up to 16 here. 38 and I would be ...

Why are you running the a/c in the winter time?

heat is on and has been running for the last hour or so. Down here in texas we dont use heat except maybe once or twice a winter. With that being said, whats a furnace?. Also saying the "a/c sys is off" is equivalent to saying the "heater is off" at least here in texas it is.

Naw I have the propane furnace running; it's about 70 degrees in here. I'll turn it down before I go to bed though.

18 degrees here at the office in Austin.  Supposed to be about 20 degrees when I leave for home in the morning, but my thermostats are set so the temperature in the house won't go below about 65.   It might be working a bit harder for the next couple days as the lows will be below freezing.

My furnace is natural gas, and it KICKS FUCKING ASS.  It'll have the house warm in no time by the time I get home.   Oh, I have a home automation system that controls my thermostats, so it will be warm by the time I'm home.

Here in Texas w have a lot of heat pump a/c systems. It uses reverse technology to heat a house.
So, when the a/c is off the heat is also off.

Upon further reading , it's 20 outside so yeah it could get to 38 inside
