compared to the M&P Sport it felt cheap

if I was in the market for an inexpensive AR (sub-$750) I'd go with the M&P Sport

you can build a super cheap $500 PSA kit and have a real nice feeling rifle.  Why spend $750?

Sorry, I'm not one of those touchy/feely folks.

What exactly made it feel "cheap?"

Ruger's 7075 T6 didn't feel as high quality as the M&P's 7075 T6.

I don't know, seemed gtg to me.  FA and dust cover.  Front sight is a bit odd, but at least it has an evil bayonet lug!

You don't carry a Rockwell scale tester with you everywhere?

When I handled one a few years ago it felt pretty solid to me.  I'm not a piston fan though, so I just built my own Frankengun instead.

I've licked a few guns to try to perform an alloy assay.

It never works.

But I continue trying.

This is not piston

This is their new DI gun.

Which is good because piston AR's are gay

You're right.  I haven't been paying attention to Ruger lately.

Looks like a standard carbine with a few Rugeresque modifications.

Quality aluminum has an extremely low tack-welded steel content.

You can actually feel the difference with your hands.

No that was TML, but it was a little more complicated.  Like a reverse coming out.

Well, there is more than one way to get a good erection.

Car batteries always help.

Vulcan Arms' attempt at making an AR 18 adapted to an AR lower.

It's hilariously shitty.
