Look knucklehead, first graduate college, then apply to a police academy, then go through half a year of that academy, then spend your probationary period on patrol, the spend 4-5 years on patrol, THEN think about SWAT or some other assignment. Until then go away. SWAT isn't looking for you now. Now go have just the best highskool day! |

Another thing, think about SWAT not just for the weapons, think about it as a "life saving" unit.
SWAT, along w/ all LEOs out there, are to protect and serve. Not trott down streets w/ a SMG strapped to their foreheads. |

In a urban scenario w/ civilians involved, yes, I agree completely. However, the safety of the public is still number one. |

Well, there've been a few pics of NYPD officers trotting down the streets with M4s, but that was a special occasion. The thing to remember about SWAT, is what Sam Jacson said in the movie by the same name, "It's Special Weapons And TACTICS. Where were your Tactics?" It's about using your head. |

Here, this is what all SWAT officers use.
 Everyone has the exact same stuff. Just like in the movies. Big staples will help hold it to your forehead. After you've been on a team for more than 5 years, you can even get "Bad Motherf*****" engraved into your MP5's receiver. Have just a great day! |

Most cops I know (active, not part-time) spend most of their time doing paperwork..if they do anything. Arrest someone? Paperwork. Hell, if you deviate from the donut-eating and piss-taking, you're filling out paperwork
