Hi guys and gals. Can anybody give me any insight into the kind of prescription glasses that these people use? I need a pair that's cheap, and durable, in case they get bashed. And durable enough to use anywhere. I cant find anything suitable at the local shops. So I was wondering if there is a specific brand/type that they use. And, which tint would you recommend for any kind of daylight use. ie. sunny, cloudy, dusk, dawn. Thanks.

As far as lens material goes, get nothing that is not made of polycarbonate. This is the most rugged stuff used for lenses, and nothing else is even close.

 Polycarbonate lenses, with a 20% brown tint.  Brown flattens glare while increasing contrast.  Go to www.uscavalry.com and look up the MAG-1 eyeglass frames.  Butt-ugly but functional.

Back in the Marines, we called em BC glasses. As in Birth Control Glasses because they were so ugly you couldn't get laid. :-) Dont think you want a pair of these!
