Okay what are your opinions of that wolf 223 ammo with the steel case?  whould you use it in your AR.  I know that the stuff works well in my sks but that rifle was made to eat steel cased ammo?

lots written about this subject,50%use it with no problems, and 50% can't stand the stuff.I've got a 16in. well used upper that eats the stuff all day long, never a problem.got a new 20 in. upper that functions like a single shot with the stuff.try it,keep the weapon cleaned and see what happens.

Wolf is BAD BAD BAD!

Did I mention It's bad?

seriously, if you have a tight chamber, this ammo will not shoot. Give it a try, if it works you found some very cheap ammo, just don't invest in a case till you know if it shoots.

Wolf works well in my Colt 16 inch.  The acuracy is... satifactory. Between 2.5-4inches.  Best of all it's cheap.  Since we got the little ones (ages 3-4) I haven't had time to reload.

I've tried this lacquer coated stuff in both my AR's and as soon as the chamber heats up, the cases get stuck & the gun jams every shot. It just doesn't work with a tight AR chamber. The coating on the shells gum-up the chamber.

The ONLY time I've had 100% reliability with an AR-15 is with decent brass cased ammo

On the other hand...my 7.62 AK's get this stuff in them all the time and they NEVER jam.

I have also had problems with Wolf. Same as dragraceart, laquer coating melts in chamber, and "glues" casing to chamber. As far as buying a box and trying it, I did that, had no problems with the first 3 boxes, then every other shell after that seemed to jam. Buy South African surplus, cheap, brass, a little dirty but, good bang for the buck.

My bushy AK Shorty eats it like an AK-47 would.
My friend's Mini-14 hated it, and both my 1911 and H&K USP .45 hate it. The .45's think that laquer is glue and the action had to be pried open.

Cases of PMC 55gr fmjbt don't cost a whole lot.

I'd rather shoot Korean stuff in my AR than Ruskie stuff.

How much does that Wolf stuff cost?

SA battle pack ammo is brass cased and berdan primed.  It works great.  I'm thinking or ordering 3000 rds or so.
