Im about to buy one as a new deer rifle. anyone have anything to say about this rifle?

Been looking at one for a while now, I don't own a bolt rifle and i like the way the VTR looks.

I have one, mounted a Burris Fullfield II 4.5x14 w/ ballistic reticle on it. Using 150gr Sierra BTSP and IMR 4064 I avg MOA @ 100yds. Some days I can get a little better, abot .75", some days the group opens up to around 1.25". Overall I'm very pleased with it and you can easily adjust the new trigger, which I did.

I know a few people that have them, accuracy is varied between them, one is a 1/4 moa shooter the others are 1 to 1.5" at 100yds on a good day. I'd get the VS or the 700P.

VLS under Leu 4.5-14 VX-L here.

Holds an inch at 200 on a Harris bipod using FGMM 168s.

I'd do it again.
