but why on earth do people flake on COMING TO MEET AND RE-HOME YOUR PET?
kind of puts an emotional toll on me |

Think of it as a job interview. You wouldn't hire someone to do a job without the interview.
You don't want to give your pet away to the wrong person. The flakes are the wrong people. |

Be happy.... you don't want a flake taking on an animal that you love.... it is worth the trouble to find dedicated folks.

Sometimes when I have a date I'll be on my way and pass the gun store or the fish store and I'll go in and buy something then go home.Figure I'd at least see something for my money that way

Sometimes people realize it's more of a commitment than they prepared for and realize they're not up to it.
better for you and the dog |

This guy knows what he's talking about. The part that does something, is meeting the person, and I'd imagine seeing their home, meeting any other pets, and doing monthly checkups for the first few months to ensure things are good. View Quote |

I've offered a certain someone a sweetheart of a deal to purchase a gun from me for 50% of actual value, with the offer expiring on July 4th. I don't need to sell it, was just looking to help a young someone out.
Thought afterwards that the deal is too good, but that I'll stick to the terms up to that date. He and her just sent out their August wedding invitations, requesting wedding presents to be in the form of cash |

Flakes will have it put down when they don't want it any more. The wrong color, or throws up their crappy Chinese food they feed it.
Pets are members of the family for life. As far as flakiness... yep. That's people. |
