we're thinking about having his rifle engraved reflecting both his sacrifice and the arfcom family for pulling together to get it for him...................

i know it would fuck up the anodizing, would that matter?  should we do it or leave it be?  and who could do it for us?

What I would do it get a little metal tag engraved and that can be screwed to the butt-stock.  That's how the military used to do presentation arms.

refinish the anodizing or backfill the engraving with a precious metal.

mil-spec black hard ano would cost $40/lot charge (going as a single piece) if you stripped the old finish off.
