I'd say between the U.S. military, Allied nations and the private security guys probably every M-16 model ever made is in Iraq in one way or another.

The M16A3 does not have a removable carry handle. It is the same thing as the A2, except it is full auto.

53% of the US troops in the region are National Guardsmen or Reservist. For that reason I suspect there are a bunch of M16A1's there.

you'd be suprised, there arent too many a1's left even in guard units.

Here is the correct info

M16 semi/full
M16A1 semi/full

the above two are not the current arms

M16A2 semi/burst, fixed handle
M16A3 semi/full, fixed handle
M16A4 semi/burst, removable handle

M4 is semi/burst. early ones have fixed handles. later ones have removable handles
M4A1 is semi/full with removable handle

His info on the configurations of the rifles is 100% correct. Its available from the current -23&P.

The only bad info is he indicated there were no M16s or M16A1s in Iraq. That is wrong - plenty of pictures showing AF guys with M16s and M16A1s during the invasion.

BTW The SPR should be added (18", flattop, semi/full)
