Three or four more Pmags is never a bad idea for an AR owner.

If nothing else comes up some pmags were on the short list. You can never have to many mags

I'm thinking a good sling or maybe a light if he has a rail or a FSB rail for mounting a light. Sure fire G2 in a scope ring makes for an inexpensive but functional weapon light.

This for sure. Any self respecting AR owner would be grateful to get more boolits.

Ammo, targets. Since there consumeables. Most people have the rest. But cleaning kit with chamber brush or mags would be alright. A new owner doesn't need anything fancy. Maybe a weapon operation sbr like adaptive carbine, range passes if he has to pay to shoot.

the only issue with ammo is 50 does not really get you a lot.. thanks for the other ideas... Waiting on his son in law to get me a pic of the rifle. i thin i like the surefire idea so far.

Unfortunately he does not shoot anything a lot, he just likes his rifles to look cool.. TAPCO made a small fortune on this guys SKS. I think a tac light would fit his style perfectly, assuming he does not have one.

Dude, get him Art of the Tactical Carbine. Hopefully that will motivate him to get out to work on how to actually use his AR.

PMags, ammo and cleaning kits won't matter if his stick just sits in the safe looking "purty".
