The Wild Blue.  It's about 15th Air Force B-24 crews in WWII.

Pretty excellent.  I've gone through it a couple times.

Do you think that you can get away with SciFi?

Ender's Game is available as an audio book:

Go pick up the Douglas Preston / Lincoln Child books on CD.  Especially The Cabinet Of Curiosities.

"Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

It's one of the funniest books I've ever read, but might be offensive to some of a particularly conservative religious bent.  My wife and I both loved the read and enjoyed the audiobook on a car trip as well.

It might be the only audiobook I ever buy, because I'll actually replay it.

The Harry Potter series, narrated by Jim Dale, are absolutely fantastic as audio CDs.

The one guy narrating does ALL the voices (if I recall, there are ~150 voices), and he does a great job at each one.
