While "Code Red" is making the news, it doesn't apply to home users for the most part. Meanwhile, the magistr and "sircam" virus are causing havoc...they're particularly nasty. As everybody says, get an anti-virus program. Norton and McAfee have been doing it for years...whichever one is the best deal. Check to make sure it runs with your version of Windows. A friend picked up a copy of McAfee Guard Dog (has several programs included with it), but it didn't run on his Windows 2000. There's even a free version out called AVG: http://www.grisoft.com/html/us_index.cfm For those with cable/DSL type connections, look at getting a firewall too such as Norton, McAfee, BlackICE Defender or a free one called ZoneAlarm: http://www.zonelabs.com - Robbie

Oops!...I opened the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm! Got it the other day. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?id=49098 I'm playing with it on a spare notebook with nothing important on it. Seems like it has been eXecuted 37 times before reaching me. So far, it appears to be functioning as planned. mail.rectec.net themartins@rectec.net Enough fun for tonight, time to [|)] -------------- For the children. UN1846
