Anyone know how to adjust the front post for elevation on a mosin nagant rifle? do they make a special tool for this, if so where can i find one?

its non adjustable,, ya either cut it down (bring point of impact down) or get a longer one..

The sights on Russian MN's were set with the bayonet installed. Give it a try with the bayonet extended or installed. FAC (Fed Arms? - I get thier catalog every month) has tons of MN parts cheap. You might try looking there.

Cutting down the front sight will bring the point of impact up. Just like lowering the front sight on an AR-15 would. Ross
