I'd like to make a small brand for burning a design into antler and/or bone. This brand will be about 1/3"x1/4". I would like to make it out of iron but I'm at a loss on the best way to cut away the iron to leave a relief of my design. The design is fairly simple and I'm thinking with the size constraints I'll have to use a Dremel but I'm not sure about the bit style to use on steel. Thanks in advance for all replies.

Those small thin cutting wheels made out of fibre cut like all get out. They break easy, so safety glasses are required.

You may need several different bits. A needle bit with cutting teeth on it would work to get into the corners and such.
